FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 15, May 2019 – The OceanCleanX featured in ESRAG & United Nations Handbook
Today Rotary International has released a Handbook created by the Environmental Sustainability Rotarian Action Group (ESRAG) with input from UN Environment to educate and inspire Rotarians around the world to take action for the environment.
‘Beat-Plastic-Pollution’, 15 May 2019, by Christopher Puttock, Patricia Armstrong, Rachael Blair, Karen Kendrick-Hands, Richard Randolph, Daniel Cooney and Lis Bernhardt on ‘ESRAG & World Environment Day: A Handbook for Rotary Clubs’. Rotarians, guided by technologies developed by Vic Grosjean of the Rotaract Club of Melbourne City, Victoria, Australia, are using crowd-sourcing to determine where Rotarians should focus their clean-up efforts. The platform, oceancleanx.com, supports automated collection methods to stop pollution at its source.
